About Me

I am pedantic about grammar, a perfectionist for a good story, a geek for SEO and fascinated by the way technology is changing all our lives

I’m Jeff Meyer

I am not athletic. Nor am I handy. I struggle with maths, and those standardised test questions where you had to deduce an order using logic just made my brain overheat. But ask me to explain your water jet technology in plain language anyone can understand or write rap lyrics about your AI algorithm for you to share on social with your nerdiest core followers, and this is where I shine.

I have no practical skills for the zombie apocalypse and collapse of civilisation, but thankfully I excel at a few things that are pretty valuable in our current world.

I’ve always loved words. Writing has always come naturally to me, and I have a good rapport with people. Because of these traits and my passion for niche subjects I’ve always been able to connect with people in highly specialised fields and get to the heart of what matters, understand why it’s important and translate that passion to a wider audience. I get why it’s important on a tech level AND why it’s special on a personal level… and it’s this combination that helps an audience connect with a brand.

I have a Master’s Degree in journalism and 20 years’ experience as a journalist and editor because I love telling people’s stories. I love working with and learning from innovators.

“You might feel overwhelmed by a blank page. Or you might have the message in your head but can’t find the words. You may even have the content already, but structuring it in a way that people will find it online is a mystery. Or perhaps you wish you could do all these things yourself but simply don’t have the time. I can help.”

My Skills

I write for individuals, big and small companies, videos, podcasts, printed publications, blogs, and  apps. Sometimes I even help companies build their content strategy, drive SEO, and create their entire information architecture.

I’m a sucker for fine words. The world needs more of them. You can help.
