I am a highly experienced editor and journalist with extensive experience in the tech, automotive and DIY industries, writing for both B2C and B2B brands. My content strategies have grown websites to reach the global number-one position in their industry. Below are a few of my favourite highlights from my 20+ years creating content.


Editor in Chief, Canon Europe

Leading a team of 17, I manage the editorial and multimedia content for Canon’s Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. I was responsible for web editorial, social media and video content, as well as Canon’s biweekly podcast.

A particular highlight was managing the product launch video for the groundbreaking Canon RF 100mm F2.8L MACRO IS USM lens. The task called for filming pollinators in the dead of winter during the UK’s third lockdown. We managed to find a butterfly and tropical insect sanctuary that let us in to film this incredible story. I oversaw pitching and pre-production, and managed the shoot on the day.

Digital content strategies

Launching websites

Launching websites from the ground up is one of my specialities and favourite things to do. A highlight is Digital Camera World, which I launched in 2012 with a content strategy that helped it become the No. 1 photo website in the UK. I have consulted on web re-launches for brands as diverse as chocolatiers to laser engravers to DIY brands. The ingredients of any successful web launch are simple: consistency, clarity and authority.


Digital consulting

Haynes Manuals had been solely a print product for 50 years. I managed its transformation into a digital subscription-based business, coordinating with content teams across three global offices. I managed its video production as we filmed video tutorials for all of the procedures in its manuals, created an editorial strategy to drive customers to the new product via organic search and led the tone of voice and creation of its promotion on the website and social media.
